Wendy Erb is an Extension Associate at the Lab of Ornithology. She is a biological anthropologist and behavioral ecologist who studies the ecological, social, and physiological influences on the behavioral and reproductive strategies of wild primates, with 20 years of research experience in Indonesia.

Through the co-construction of participatory research programs around bioacoustics, biocultural heritage, and human-environment relationships, Wendy's work highlights the critical importance of local knowledge, values, and voices. Beyond research, she is passionate about developing education, outreach, and capacity-sharing programs around bioacoustics research and biocultural conservation with partners in Indonesia and Malaysia.
