Community College Internationalization Fellowship
Faculty and academic staff of any discipline at two-year institutions in Upstate New York can prepare students to become global-minded citizens, collaborating with Cornell’s area studies programs and the South Asia Center at Syracuse University.

Each year we offer the competitive, funded Community College Internationalization Fellows Program. Up to ten community college educators study and explore projects that engage with Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and/or sub-Saharan Africa.
Projects may include a new course, a new unit for an existing course, or a service-learning component to an existing course that encourages the exchange of diverse perspectives. Faculty, adjunct faculty, lecturers, instructors, and librarians are welcome to apply.

$1,000 ($500 at the onset; $500 upon completion)
How to Apply
Create a project proposal that includes a cover page, CV, and project description. Please email your proposal materials as attached PDF or Word document files.
Implementation Process
You will have one year to develop and implement your project, with the possibility of extending to a second year if the project needs further development. During the first year, our outreach program manager will provide you with administrative support and help connect you to area studies specialists.

Since its inception, the community college internationalization fellows program has supported 37 community college faculty from seven institutions. They've successfully implemented 39 curricular projects across 17 academic disciplines.
