Global Internships

Ecuador Crossroads

Latin American and Caribbean Studies is sending interns to in-person internships this summer in Ecuador. Ranging from six to eight weeks, these opportunities connect students with our global partners.

Eligibility

To apply, you must be:

  • A rising sophomore, junior, or senior at Cornell.
  • In good academic standing with a cumulative 3.0 GPA minimum and no unresolved disciplinary charges or sanctions.
  • Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at the time of the internship.

Global Development Summer Experience Grant (SEG) awardees are eligible and encouraged to apply for summer internships in Ecuador. Please note, any Global Development Fellows will need to do their internship for eight weeks in length.

Course Extension Travel Stipends 

Course extension travel stipends are available for some for winter and summer courses. We are currently accepting applications for winter course BIOEE 2641: Tropical Field Ornithology in the Dominican Republic, taught by professor Andre Dhondt.
