Paul Kaiser joins the Einaudi Center in fall 2025 as Lund Practitioner in Residence. Learn more about the Lund Critical Debate and related activities.

Kaiser has extensive experience in international development with a focus on sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, and the Pacific Islands. His work includes public sector reform, building the capacity of higher education institutions, and supporting governments to improve the delivery of public services.  

His career spans roles at USAID, the Millennium Challenge Corporation, and World Bank. Previously, Kaiser taught political science and African studies at Mississippi State University (MSU) and the University of Pennsylvania (Penn). At MSU, he was the director of the Center for International Security and Strategic Studies. At Penn, he was the associate director of the African Studies Center.
