Outreach

The Southeast Asia Program (SEAP) connects educators, students, and community members with resources to deepen understanding of the histories, cultures, and languages of Southeast Asia. Through teaching materials, professional development opportunities, and a lending library, SEAP supports the integration of Southeast Asia into classrooms and public programs.

Outreach

Professional Development

SEAP organizes workshops, teacher training sessions, and collaborative projects with schools, community colleges, and educators nationwide. These programs create opportunities for teachers to engage directly with Southeast Asia specialists and to develop innovative approaches to global education.

Teaching Materials

SEAP provides a range of resources for K–12 and college educators, including lesson plans, films, and curriculum guides. Culture kits containing authentic items from across Southeast Asia are also available for hands-on learning. These resources are designed to encourage cross-cultural understanding and to bring the region’s diverse traditions into the classroom.
