Professional Development
SEAP partners with educators and institutions to strengthen teaching and learning about Southeast Asia. Through workshops, collaborative projects, and training opportunities, SEAP connects teachers with the expertise and resources of Cornell University’s Southeast Asia specialists.
Workshops and Training
SEAP offers professional development workshops for K–12 teachers, community college faculty, and other educators. These programs provide practical tools for teaching about Southeast Asia and create opportunities for collaboration across disciplines. This includes the annual summer International Studies Summer Institute (ISSI), which aims to aid teachers in internationalizing K-12 curricula and incorporating more on world regions into their classrooms. Each year, ISSI has a new international theme, such as global arts education.
